Magellan 1000i is a multi-plane barcode scanner based on image-technology. The Magellan 1000i barcode scanner combines the best advantages of LED and laser scanning technology, which provides excellent reading quality and high mechanical reliability. Through the use of image technology, the Magellan 1000i barcode scanner provides high scanning speed and fast decoding of both normal barcodes and damaged ones, which significantly improves performance and throughput.

If necessary, the scanner can be switched to the single-plane scan mode with one click of a button on the body. This function becomes indispensable if you need to read a certain bar code from a group of closely-located bar codes, for example, from an auxiliary sheet with a table of bar codes for products that do not have a bar code on the package. When the operator presses the button located top of the scanner, the scanner generates a narrow beam of light, pointing the operator to the reading area to accelerate and facilitate the positioning of the desired bar code.
